Ok… I know this is going to be a REALLY long post but I (Amy ) promise it will be worth every moment of your time. I was very personally invested in this wedding, so that is probably why I looked at this blog post like a family member would. It was so hard to get it down to this many favorites! I have known Nikki since she was a little girl. She was in the same class as my brother growing up. Her mom was my High School English teacher and one of my best friends married her older brother, soooooo I know the family pretty well! We were so excited when Nikki chose us to capture her special day and  could not wait to get to spend some time in California. We went up a couple of days early to do their E-Shoot ( On the blog earlier) and had an amazing time spending the day with them. The interactions of family and friends was incredibly touching. It was such a beautiful experience sitting back and watching everyone enjoy the day together. Chad could not keep his eyes of his girl all day!!! I just can’t get enough of that! The pictures truly speak for themselves. I could literally write a book about this day,but I will spare you that:) Please enjoy!

BLOG?! What blog? Can’t believe it’s been that long since we’ve updated our blog. This holiday/new year has been so busy for us, but now that we are back in the swing of things, this blog will get some attention.

So you might have seen our Instagram/Facebook/Twitter feeds last week were all of sunny CA. Well, it was all because of these two. We flew out a few days early to get an engagement session in before their wedding (and also to spend some extra time in CA, I mean who wouldn’t want to do that), and what an engagement session this one was. When I say it was all day, it was ALL day. Quick session at the house with the puppies, then off to Santa Paula for lunch and a few pictures in the city, then to Santa Barbra and then ending it at Butterfly beach for the sunset. It was so fun to hang out with them all day and get to know them better. They have an amazing love for each other and it was cool to be a part of that through the day. I’ll save the other stuff for their full wedding post…which is going to be big…but I’ll leave you with this small glimpse into the day we had.

Looking outside right now, it’s crazy to think that just a day ago it was sunny and warm. Oh well, I’m so glad that Rayshell, Cody and I were able to take advantage of the weather on saturday.  We went to one of our favorite places to shoot, brought some lights, a little min-pin and a friend that doubled as my assistant/holder of the clothes. Rayshell & Cody, I had such a fun time, you guys rocked.

Hannah and Brandon had the most amazing vision for this shoot. Hannah thought up all the details all the way down to the goggles for their great dane Moxie!!! Oh and I can’t forget the red painted toes on Moxie as well!!!:) This dog was the best behaved dog we have ever worked with. All you had to do was say “Moxie Look here” and she would obey the commands immediately and for however long she needed to do a certain command. This shoot could not have turned out any better. Enjoy!

I (Brian) met Andrew a few years ago. He had just moved over to Indiana from Hawaii(big difference) and had just started going to our church. We instantly started hanging out because of our mutual love for good music (Shannon and Amy say it’s “depressing”, we disagree).  And I was quickly introduced to Shasta, his golden retriever. A few years later he met the amazing Shannon and the rest is history.  It was so good to hang out with the three of them and take their engagement pictures. Amy loved it because she was around fellow dog lovers and I was able to catch up on some new “depressing” music. Which if you need any recommendations Andrew and I have quite the collection.

This might be my favorite of them all.
