Josh + Amber Wedding

July 31, 2009

Greenville SC: Where do I start…There is something about being part of a day with friends you have grown up with that is truly priceless. I have known Josh and his family for years. I remember in middle school going over to their house watching movies, playing basketball, typical boy stuff, it was so much fun. So when he contacted us to take pictures for his wedding in South Carolina I couldn’t have been happier.

One quick note, I have to give credit where credit is due. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to meet Amber until the day of the rehearsal dinner, so all the meetings and contact all went through Josh (which normally when responsibility is given to a groom regarding a wedding, it is one thing…show up on time. the end). But seriously Josh had this thing in the bag. Every time we met, he had the times, dates, names, & details all in order(I’m sure Amber had a little to do with this). Seriously Josh, you rock.

The weather could not have been better, the venue was very cool, and the weddings party was so fun to hang out with. Josh and Amber looked amazing, and it was so evident that they were completely in love. Amber was one of those brides that every photog dreams about, laid back, relaxed, and up for anything. Also, pictures were a huge thing for them so we had a ton of time to get some great pictures. Josh and Amber we wish you all the best!

LOVE this!

Father and Daughter..

The first glance…I love these moments.

Father of the bride needed a new background for his phone.

The kiss..

You gotta show off the new ring..

Ann & Shane E-Session

July 29, 2009

We have been a little behind on blogging lately so get ready for 2 weddings, an e-session, family shoot and newborn shoot blogged here soon. With wedding season in full swing we have been super busy, which is amazing, but our blog is a tid bit behind…so here we go!!

It was so great to hang out with Ann and Shane at the IMA. Luckily the rain held off, but the heat did not! Ann had a great idea though, to actually go INSIDE the IMA rather than spending all our time outside in the heat. So we did and got some great pictures. I could tell from the beginning that they absolutely loved each other and we wish you guys all the best in planning for your wedding!

Film!

July 24, 2009

As I’ve said on here before. I love film. It’s how I got started too. Amy bought me an old Nikon film camera about 2 years ago, I spent a ton of money on b/w film and just about shot everything. After the first few rolls I was absolutely hooked.

Now, I have 4 old film cameras that I rotate taking with me wherever I go (yes, I usually have a camera on me all the time). I thought I would just share some recent ones that I have taken lately. I would love to start to incorporate some film shots in our weddings. The tone and color just can’t be replicated with digital. Film.is.good.

p.s. The first set was taken with a 1970’s era Nikon EM, the second set was taken with a cool little Fisheye camera that Amy bought me(she is the best wife…ever!)

Hello there.

FISHEYE!

Greenville SC: Here are just a few of the pictures from the wedding in South Carolina. The story and the big day in all it’s epicness (is that even a word?!) coming very soon!

Korina Senior Photos

July 15, 2009

Being a senior in high school is a very cool place to be. Getting ready for college, making huge decisions, planning (or not planning) what goals you have…starting a new story. I remember when I was a senior in high school and nothing seemed out of reach. Sometimes life tends to slowly take that vigor and drive away, but we can’t let it. Life is to short and your dreams are too important. It’s great to get reminded of this regularly. Reminds me of the quote, “what if we stopped waiting.” What if we stopped waiting…and what if we started living.

Ok, so on to the photoshoot! It was really great to hang out with Korina again. We actually took her sisters weddings pictures last year and were super excited to hear from her and see what she has been up to. She plays softball at her high school so we spent a little time on the field, then we headed straight downtown to finish up. enjoy!

love this one. The wind was our friend that day.

PURE AWESOMENESS!

Sarah & Aaron Maternity

July 14, 2009

Sorry we’ve been a little blog absent lately. We have been soo busy with senior shoots, weddings, and life in general. I just got back from South Carolina and New Jersey this past weekend (photos to come soon!) for a few wedding clients. It was really nice to get out of Indy and see some new sights. I have always loved to travel and when I can do that AND take pictures, it’s even better. Like I said, stories and photos to come soon! Ok…now to the shoot.

I was so excited to take photos of my sister and her husband as they get ready for their first baby. When Sarah told us that she was pregnant we were all so excited and she is due within weeks of Amy. So we’ll have two new babies in the family at the same time. I’m sure my parents are lovin this! Sarah has always been a wonderful big sister to me and I know she’ll be a great mom. Congratulations guys and we can’t wait to meet the little one..
