Joni + Jake Wedding Day

August 14, 2010

So we are finally on the road to getting our blog updated…here is the first of many new blog posts.

Joni & Jake’s wedding was on one of the hottest days of the summer that I can remember.  We were on a plantation down in Milton KY.  It actually rained most of the morning but stopped right before we started pictures (perfect timing).  The whole bridal party braved the heat and we all ended up having a great day……and here are the pictures to prove it.

Chris and Lisa got married on a beach in Florida a few months ago, but really wanted to get some great bridal pictures here in Indianapolis.  So they busted out the wedding clothes again and we had a great bridal shoot with the two of them in Zionsville.  They were so much in love and we had a great time hanging out.

Drew + Laura Wedding

July 7, 2010

Xenia, OH: Drew and Laura were one of those couples that booked with us over the phone, and the closest we got to seeing them was over skype!  But right when we got there we felt right at home.  They had such an amazing location and the whole bridal party was amazing through all the hot weather. Thank you guys for such an amazing day!

Colleen + Alex E-Session

June 21, 2010

IMA: Here are some of our favorite images from Colleen and Alex’s e-session.  We are really excited for their wedding next month and I had such a great time hanging out with them and hearing their story.  Enjoy.

Bloomington: Aubrey and Patrick went to IU and decided to head back south to take their e-session pictures.  We first stopped by Oliver Winery and then hit IU’s campus for the rest of the day.  After they get married, they both decided to join the Peace Corps together and would like to go South America or Africa.  We are so excited for them and really can’t wait for their wedding day.

Amy and I were so excited to post this photo shoot!  We have had to postpone the shoot because of rain it seemed like 2 or 3 times, but finally the clouds cleared and we were able to go downtown and hang out.  As we were walking around discussing some details of their wedding day, Ashley mentioned that she wanted to have an vintage fair feel to her wedding.  We walk around a corner and there, in a parking lot, is a small fair with hardly anyone riding the rides or playing the games!  We were so stoked. Once we stepped in there with cameras, umbrellas, flashes, and a couple kissing, we had everyone’s attention.  All the employees there were sooo nice. We ended up getting a free Ferris Wheel ride and pretty much free reign of the whole place.  It was something I”ll never forget.  Then we headed to an abandoned corner of fountain square with the couch to finish up the shoot.  Nick and Ashley we so awesome the whole shoot and we seriously can’t wait for their wedding day!

Amy + Josh E-Session

May 11, 2010

Jamestown IN: First of all, this shoot was soo fun!  This was our big unavailing of our thrift store find (the orange couch)!  And it fit perfectly with the feel of the whole shoot.  All the photos were taken at Amy’s family farm.  Her and Josh live in Chicago and wanted to get a completely different feel than what they are used to.  So we spend a few hours walking around this amazing farm and capturing the love they have for each other.  Amy was such a trooper (you can’t tell, but it was cold the whole time), and Josh didn’t know he would be carrying a couch around, but they were all smiles.  Thank you guys again for a great time and we can’t wait for you special day…coming soon!

Dayton, OH:  This was a very special wedding for us to shoot. Lindsay was my (Amy) roommate in college for 2 years and boy did we make some awesome memories! I was so excited to hear that she was engaged. One of the most important things on Lindsay’s “husband” list was that he had to love baseball. Well Gary just happens to be a baseball coach. It was a match made in heaven! The venue for the ceremony was held at an old theatre. It was filled with marble column’s and beautiful engravings on the walls and ceilings. The reception had all kinds of different types of transportation vehicles over the last 100 years scattered all throughout the building. Every detail of her wedding fit her perfectly. My favorite part of the reception was the candy bar. You can’t have too much candy!!! To end the night Lindsay had surprised Brian and I with a suite at the hotel we were staying at that night. Perfect ending to a perfect day…
